Marvel Pass is a unique area that straddles the continental divide and the Alberta / British Columbia border. It is a special place... I have been to this landing site 35-40 times. I have hiked and walked all through the area over the years. I know it very well. These Packages are for 2 people only. Extra flights for more people are an option but not always. Due to very high demand and limited booking spaces this package sells out very quickly. Best to contact for details. I would love to answer any questions you have about Heli-Weddings or Elopements. - For the past 14 years I have done almost all of Alpine Helicopters photography and have logged hundreds of flight hours in various mountain ranges all over Western Canada. My experience working around helicopters and familiarity with the Heli-Wedding locations ensures a lot of different photo angles and a very efficient shoot where you will receive a wide variety of images to showcase your special day.
With a perfect safety record and a good relationship with the pilots you can put your trust in someone who has the experience to keep things safe while capturing the wedding photos you have always dreamed of.
- Additional photography time and shooting locations are available on request. Many couples like to upgrade their Heli-Wedding package with extra time for portraits at one of their favorite mountains or lakes in the area after we land. This is a great way to get more family and friends involved in your photos. Limited space in the helicopter means that sometimes not everyone you want with you is able to go. Booking extra time after the wedding insures no one will be left out. Extra shooting time for heli wedding clients is $400.00 per hour. (Discounted from the usual $500.)
- There are only a few select locations that Alpine Helicopters will drop clients off. Maps, location details, and photographs from past weddings will be provided so you can choose what site works best for your group. You will receive advice and explanations of what you can expect with each area from a photographer who has been during all types of weather conditions.
- Would you like to fill all of the seats in the helicopter with loved ones and have no room for a photographer on the flight? No problem, I am a certified ACMG Hiking Guide (Ap) and have hiked into all of the Heli-Wedding locations that are offered several times and am very familiar with the terrain. For an extra fee I will hike into the location of your choosing with my camera gear and meet you there. Due to avalanche hazard this option is only available May-October.
- Helicopter weddings are offered year round but tend to book out quickly. There are a limited amount that can be sold each year because of the logistics of flying multiple parties in the same day. It is best to contact and inquire as soon as possible if considering this option. I am more than happy to give a free quote or answer any questions you may have.
- Options for extra flight time and extended tours are available.
Included in every Heli-Wedding Package
- No limit on the number of finished edited photographs you will receive. You will get every image that turns out, not just a select pre-determined amount. Don't miss out on any special moments. I prefer to edit everything and then let you pick and choose what you like to print or share with family and friends. Minimum photo numbers will be provided and guaranteed in your wedding contract.
- Timely service and quick turn around time on your finished photo edits. To ensure quality I do all of the post processing and editing myself. Typical wait time for your high resolution set would be around 3-4 weeks in the busy summer months and 2-3 weeks in the Winter season. Faster service and rush orders are available. I personally guarantee quoted editing times. This information is included in the mandatory wedding contract.
- Recommendations and contact information for the best professionals in the area. Save time and make finding the right accommodations, best local tours, restaurants, caterers, hair & make up, florists, chauffeurs or any other business easy to find. I take pride in only dealing with the best businesses in the area and will gladly pass that information on to you.
- I only take one booking a day. You do not have to worry about things running late or not being on an exact schedule. I am flexible and understand things do not always go as planned, this is why I never double book jobs on the same day. You will have my full attention and commitment and not have to worry about your photographer rushing off to another job. This is a very important factor to consider with Heli-Weddings. Due to the sometimes unpredictable weather in the mountains schedules sometimes have to be adjusted.
- Options for designing and printing photo albums for friends and family.
- High Resolution edits that are ready for print.
- You will receive 10-15 preview high resolution photo edits within 48hrs or your ceremony.
- I like to get to know all of my clients. An in person, over the phone, or Scype/Zoom, consultation to discuss all details of your shoot and plan out a shot list to ensure you end up with exactly what you want and expect is included in every wedding package. I am always available to answer questions.
Included with every Wedding booking is the option for a discounted Engagement or Family Portrait shoot. Contact for more information regarding this.
No charge for travel with-in Banff National Park, Canmore, Kananaskis, Lake Louise, and the Columbia Valley.
